The Question of the Day: What is the hardest question you have ever been asked, and how would you answer it now?
I was asked: “Should pineapples belong on pizza?” Now before we start jumping to conclusions and arguing with text and paper; let’s consider the following. Why would someone want pineapples on pizza? Well, being a fruit, pineapples serve as a nice addition of sweetness to the already awesome pizza prepped and shipped from Italy. Research even says that ‘sweetness’ is the strongest receptor on the human tongue against almost all 10,000+ taste buds we have. So, I thought to myself, maybe the people that put pineapples on pizza are actually cracking the physiology of our nature. Our natural attraction to sweetness stems all the way back to our ancestors and ensured their survival when choosing edible and nonedible products. So, I tried it. Best thing I have ever tried and would absolutely recommend at least one slice! Moral of the story is beign open-minded. By doing that, we facillitate ourselves to learn and try new things without fear of the unknown. However, don’t get me started on mushrooms.
